Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Disaster Recovery 24/7 Specialists wants every visitor, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to find information about our restoration services and reach us quickly during a stressful situation. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the standard most widely used to measure whether a website is usable by people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.

What We’re Doing

Our site is built with semantic headings, descriptive link text, and color contrast that aims to meet AA thresholds so that content reads clearly whether you’re scanning on a phone screen or using a screen reader. Forms include labeled fields, and navigation is structured so it can be operated by keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse. We periodically review pages as they’re updated to check that new content keeps pace with these same standards.

Accessibility work is ongoing rather than a one-time fix. As we add pages, update service descriptions, or redesign sections of the site, we check them against the same WCAG 2.1 AA benchmarks rather than assuming older standards still hold up.

Known Limitations

No website is perfect, and ours is no exception. Some older content, third-party embeds, or PDF documents linked from our pages may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. If you encounter a barrier, including a form that won’t submit with a screen reader, an image missing alt text, or contrast that’s hard to read, we want to know about it so we can fix it.

Reporting an Issue

If you run into an accessibility problem anywhere on this site, contact us directly:

Email: [email protected] Phone: (631) 831-1880 Mail: 3A Commercial St, Hicksville, NY 11803

Please describe the page you were on, the device and browser (or assistive technology) you were using, and what happened. The more detail you can share, the faster we can track down the problem.

Our Response Timeline

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and to address confirmed issues within a reasonable window, prioritizing anything that blocks a visitor from reaching our contact information or requesting service. If a fix requires more extensive development work, we’ll let you know a general timeframe and, in the meantime, offer an alternative way to reach us, such as a phone call, so you’re never left without a path to get help.

Alternative Access

If any part of this website is currently inaccessible to you, you don’t have to wait on a fix to reach us. Call or email using the information above and a member of our team will help you directly, whether that’s answering questions about water, fire, mold, or storm damage services, or scheduling an on-site estimate.

This statement reflects our current approach and will be updated as our site evolves and as accessibility practices continue to improve industry-wide.
